Unit 18667
Category: Skeleton dug in 2011
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Skeleton
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: .80 m E-W x .40 m N-S
Discussion: Neolithic adult skeleton oriented with heat to west, feet to east. Skeleton is on its back in a tightly flexed position with the legs on the chest and the knees near the chin. Phytoliths were noted and sampled (S4) on the lower legs (mid-tibiae). All bones were partially baked due to the fire which occurred above the floor. The burial is under the floor of where the NW platform used to be (above the floor). The bones are orange and brown but not black, suggesting the fire was short-lived, or not hot enough to thoroughly bake the bones black. Condition of bones is poor due to the baking.
Tibia length = 330 mm
