Discussion: This brown humus-rich layer represents one of the mudbricks laid on F. 3456 to form an addition on the east edge. It overlies a layer of plaster mortar (18688), which can be seen to overlie an additional mudbrick used to create this addition. 

Recognition: found underlying plaster facing (18684) 

Definition: clear color difference from (18684) 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: hot 

Consistency: silty loam 

Colour: brown 

Texture: fine, very friable, moist 

Bedding: massive
