Unit 18702
Category: Layer dug in 2009
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Grave fill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Grave fill for sk (18701) in the east platform (F 3408) of B 76. The skeleton was immediately under another skeleton (18464) and therefore the volume of the grave fill was less than other typical grave fills for primary inhumations. The soils in the western grave were dark brown due to the heat of the fire in the house to this side of the platform. The soils in the east part of the grave pit were light brown since the fire was mainly concentrated in the wesern part rather than the eastern part of the platform. All soils were loose and friable with few inclusions. The soils did not resemble midden deposits.
