Unit 18980
Category: Layer dug in 2010
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: plaster surface
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: white clay; Deposition: single; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: Upper plaster surface of NE platform, unexcavted 2010.
Unit no assigned in 2010 by RR.
2013: Plastering event which begins on the NE platform (F. 3441) and extends south to the possible bench.
On platform F.3441, the plaster layer was severly affected by burning events in antiquity and partially eroded to a point where the make-up layer below could be seen. Additionally, definite slumps on the platform could be detected and may be indicative of a burial cut.
On the possible bench lying south of platform F.3441, the plaster was thin but with clear basal boundaries, although also eroded in some places.
The plan for this unit, in addition to the drawing from 2010, has been digitally drawn.
