Unit 19229
Category: Layer dug in 2010
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: burnt collapse,Room Infill
Data Category Information: Location: building
Dimensions: 180cm N-S by 100cm E-W
Discussion: Compacted burnt room fill / collapse, inclusions of burnt brick and plaster. It is likely that the layer represents burning collapse demolition.
Close to the base of this layer, a cluster consisting of 2 obsidian points were uncovered as was a third point c.20cm to the east. A bone point was also found to the north. The layer seals a cluster of Emmer Wheat underneath that has been charred through a process of slow burning, suggesting that the collapse was at least smouldering when it fell.
