Discussion: This layer represents on additional rake out deposit from the succcesive hearth the built to the north of it likely mostly from the use of hearth F. 3528. It is clearest-eastest to define immediatily surrounding the molding for hearth F.3528, then becomes increasingly blurred with the surface floor layers to the east - which os consistent with our interpretation of this layer as a rake out deposit, which would be unlikely to have sharply defined edges.
Recognition: laminated ash layers accumulated to south side of hearth F. 3528
Definition: clear, although less homogenous toward southeastern edge where bounded by plaster line
