Discussion: This Layer represents a central postin the timber partition wall feature 3527. It has been sliced to create a box timber with straight sides, unlike the end posts, which seem to be round posts. It has been packed in clay unti 19684 presumably ti protect it and add structural support. At the time of writing some of the charcoal remains upstanding illustrating the verticak grain, which is how the post was identified as such.
