Description: post depositional features:we had just the eastern part of the layer
Discussion: The unit is made of gray plaster: the semicircular shape of the unit follows the north-eastern boundary of the hearth; this element united with the convex profile of the unit lets me infer that the layer was the rim of the last firing use in the builiding 89. As I wrote before, the rim is localized just on the north-eastern part of the hearth. It's difficult to understand if this element was intentionally made (to reinforce the north-east boundary) or if originally the unit followed all the circumference of the hearth, subsequently lost on the others sides to levelling or trampling. The unit was removed by leaf-trowel.
