Discussion: This unit consisted of a make-up/floor/make-up sequence. The reason for excavating this sequence as one compound layer was the heavy fire damagae which made each stratum's individual recognition difficult and rendered the floor layer even more ephemeral. This compund layer sealed a more prominent and well preserved floor.
