Unit description: A smallish unit, with fairly high fragmentation, but less than some units (e.g. 1868 - also a fill), and having some larger pieces, such as an antler fragment and a sheep tibia fragment. There is a small amount of burning, and some carnivore/omnivore digested bone. These mixed histories of bone, and fact that no two bones appear to be from same individuals, are consistent with secondary dumping. Taxa include 007 (Cattle and equid) pieces - ribs have cut marks on indicating meat removal for eating (?); deer represented, as usual, by antler only and this one appears pathological; a single 005 size piece; forelimb and hindlimb of sheep-goat sized animals. DNA sample F55 is a cattle metatarsal, slightly pathological and with dismemberment mark. Also a hare m'tars, and 2 bird fragments. 4 mm flotation sorted 100% and recorded completely. Sample 3 is a small flotation sample, consisting entirely of small pieces (up to 3 cm, mostly less than 1 cm) of scrap; no diagnostics. Nearly all sheep-size. Very little burning, some digestion. Well preserved, but some look a little rolled. A little bit of fish and microfauna. Last record = F73Figurine Records: No Ground Stone Records: Yes
