Dimensions: 1.05 x 0.73 x 0.26 m 

 

Discussion: [20258] represents the cut for burial f. 3931, of three individuals (one primary undisturbed-- 20166). It was cut into by a later cut [20257] which is part of f.3961. The extent of the cut was especially clear to the west and east, where bones were evidently resting on the cut boundaries, and less clear to the north, where some undercutting was apparent. 

 

Recognition: recognized by appearance of grey silty loam = edge of cut 

Definition: defined by extent of fill u20161 and human remains 

Execution: trowel, brush, wooden pick 

Condition: hot, shady 

Shape: ovular 

Sides: sharp 

Base Break: sharp, undercut to north, more sloping to west 

Base: flat-- many salts
