Unit 20308
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Fill,fill in burial
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 0,85 (W-E) x 0,55 (N-S) m, 0,1 - 0,2 m deep
Discussion: Fill in pit initially interpreted as burial. The pit was rather difficult to delimit, but there was a cut since stratigraphy could be seen in the interface between the fill and the surrounding floor and makeup layers, while the fill was homogenuos. After excavating to a depth of 0,1 m further digging was postponed until after the removal of make-up layer U. 20341, when a clearer cut could be seen. No clear basal boundary could be established, though, since the cut was still difficult to follow. The pit was not a burial..
