Dimensions: 1.8m w-e, 1.2m n-s, 0.83m deep 

 

Discussion: Large rather poorly defined pit in south-east of space 113 covering most of the platform/smaller room. Its function is unclear - it was not for burials, it does not appear to have been to remove anything, it could theoretically have been dug out simply to be refilled with compact material to guarantee a firm foundation for the platform but this seems unlikely 

 

Execution: trowel and mattock 

Condition: warm and bright 

Shape: irregular - roughly oval 

Sides: irregular - vertical at walls, s-w convex, east concave 

Base Break: gradual 

Base: irregular 

Orientation: slightly west-east
