Unit 20542

Category: Cluster    dug in 2012

Area: South

Interpretive Categories: Cluster of artefacts

Data Category Information: none

Dimensions: 1.56 x 1.40 x 0.10 - 0.15 m

Discussion: It was a cluster of wide range of artefacts registered under one (separate) unit number. It comprised of: 10 partially - and 4 whole preserved clay balls; number of animal bones including at least three articulated ones (!), one animal skull (X-8); dozens of pebbles and 6 ground stones. The different kinds of material within one cluster was recorded by the reason that they sat directly on the floor surface [U.20543], and because the artefacts might mark the last phase of occupation. Consequently, they constitute a good material to provide C14 dates. Described material was spread all over the western segment of sp.492. Therefore one may be stated on this stage that the cluster continues under the eastern part of room-fill [20524] due to arbitrary Eastern limit of the section that was set up along the Grid line (E-915). Accordingly, additional material might be also evidenced in the eastern segment of the Space 492.
