Dimensions: 0.75 m x 0.66 m x 0.40 m 

 

Discussion: U. 20700 is a layer of greyish-brown loam signifying the fill of pit f. 3980, cut into u. 20267. Left unexcavated at end of 2012 season.

2013: Finds included bone, pottery, groundstone, and obsidian. The fill had loose dry sandy texture; it was easy to excavate. The fill was possibly filled all at once because there was no distinct soil color change until the bottom of the pit. The fill is a late fill, it's distinguishable from the Neolithic building material. 

 

Recognition: clear after removal of u. 20269 

Definition: clear- contrasts with surrounding u. 20267 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: hot, dry 

Consistency: Friable 

Colour: greyish brown 

Texture: sandy loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: charcoal; plaster 

Post-depositional Features: none 

Basal Boundary: soil color change-- from grey to orange
