Unit 20839
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: compound, >.5 layers of plaster + makeup
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Deposition: multiple
Discussion: This unit was removed as u.20831, which was split afterwards, as the stratigraphic situation showed that it was not possible to group the layers as had first been done in u.20831.
However, also u.20839 (as is u. 20831 still after this separation) is a compound layer, with several makeup and plaster layers of which some (or all?) proabably covered all the platform F.3507, and others possibly only existed in patches.
The plan for this unit is thus the same as the one for u.20831 (13/125).
Note on total deposit volume:
The soil of this unit is thus included in the volume of u.20831.
Consistency: soft/friable
Colour: whiteish + medium brown
Texture: silty
Bedding: compound
Inclusions: -
Post-depositional Features: worn; worn out in places; layers - partly difficult to follow
Basal Boundary: Arbitrary at last layer of plaster above the makeup of the platform F. 3507
