Discussion: The bricks of W foundation wall in space 558, the bricks were same as in walls F8004 and F8005, they were 24 cm wide, 7 cm high and around 90 cm long, due to being exposed for a long time they were heavly eroded in N part of the wall. The wall was slightly leaning to the west. At first glance the bricks were thought to be mortar however upon excavating it become clear that the bricks are actually grey and the mortar is yellow. 

Consistency: firm and compact 

Colour: light grey 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: few small flecks of charcoal and mineral inclusions 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrows, erosion and wheathering at the N part 

Basal Boundary: sharp anthropogenic
