Discussion: This unit was recognized during last year's excavation (2012) when they removed most of the room fill u.20481. When found, and also excavated, it was noted that it had been cut in its western edge by the modelling of a rectangular hearth. However during 2012, it was also truncated, why its extent is hard to define. Luckily it is visible in the thrench section that it was laid in respect to the oven in SE, F.7101. Also it was laid over makeup, but because it was removed during last year it is hard to see except in the section.
When people laid this plaster, it was probably to finish the construction of a platform in which they made a final addition of a rectangular heart. The extent of the plaster is larger than documented during the removal of it; in the section it shows that it was built in respect to the oven F.7101, which indicates the oven was older but at some point (or maybe most of the time) they were used contemporary (see feature discussion).
