Discussion: It was the last one layer of burnt in this fire installation.
It was another thin layer probably used for relatively short time period. The cut F.7131 is cutting this layer deeply to the next layer.
It's hard to find a relation between this fire instalation and the hearth next to it. They were probably used at the same time. It was probably the first layer in this structure. Below this is a layer which looks very similar to a floor. 

 

Consistency: soft/friable 

Colour: dark grey 

Texture: clay loam 

Bedding: massive
