Discussion: Hearth F. 1482 was heavily eroded at the time of excavation. 2-3 very friable plaster layers seemed to be present from its original construction. These layers were fairly indistinguishable and so the remaining hearth feature was excavated as an arbitrary unit (u. 21329, same as u. 12694 defined in 2006).
During excavation, scoop F. 7588 was uncovered in the northeast corner of the hearth area.
The removal of u.21329 cut an imprint in u.30539. Cut u.21384 of hearth was then defined (more logically than stratigraphically).
