Unit 21694
Category: Layer dug in 2015
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: bricks within the constr. element F.7866
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: The bricks (21694) together with the mortar (21695) constituted together a constructional element F.7866. The number of courses of the presenting building material differed depending on the position and placement. For instance within the Northern part there was only one course of the brick recorded. And in the Southern segment there were 4 courses recognized. Almost whole eastern face of the feature was truncated by the cut 21699 that was performed in order to set within it the solid base under the eastern wall (F.3095) of overlying B.77.
In the course of the research it was possible to define relationship between the constructional element F.7866 and the remaining older wall (F7149) of B.132. The bricks of the first mentioned above structure overlapped counterparts in their lower segment to the extent of 70 cm.
