Unit 21730
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: make-up layer of platform F.7401
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Material: pise-like; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: This unit was recognized based on consistency of soil and texture. It is an another, succeeding make-up layer belonging to platform F.7401. This layer was lapping up on the platform F.3437 surface. Since the very begining of exploring this feature it has been very difficult to distinguish and follow every separate make-up and overlapping plaster layer because of intense erosion and high fire damage.
The previous make-up layer (U.20095) that this make-up layer was sealing was as hard to follow as this one because of noted above factors.
As a result we grouped the latest make-up layer with earlier just partially preserved layer of plaster and remnants of make-up underneath.
At least we reached the next distinguishable and so far the best preserved layer of white plaster.
