Discussion: Unit is a layer of plaster located on the benchlike platform construction directly north of the main platform (f. 3440). The layer was easily removeable with light pressure. Troweling revealed inner layer of a brownish constitution, as well as small plaster inclusions of a brownish constitution, as well as small plaster inclusions. Once it was excavated closer to the back wall, small flecks of red paint began to appear. Initially considered a possible paint spill from the wall, further tracking of the red paint with bamboo skewers revealed a small, baby-sized handprint in red paint. There are four fingers attached to a hand, but the thumb seems to have either deteriorated or never been there at all, leaving the possibility that it is meant to depict a small pawprint. The distinction between this unit and the plaster floor beneath was smooth and easy to follow, making for easy removal of the unit with an exciting gem of a handprint within.
