Description: Gone out timber against east face of wall F1855 of B43, next to sp 236. 

Discussion: Not fully excavated. This is a remnant timber found adhering to the single east wall of sp 236, B43. This timber does not belong to sp 236, rather it belongs to the probable side space to the east which would have been connected by the crawl hole (later niche) F.1865. This space has not been excavated yet. Where the wood has gone out (rotted/mineralised) a void or impression has been left in the room infill to the east. There is clear evide of the wall plaster (as yet unnumbered) extending around the front (eastern face of the post) 

Consistency: crumby/friable 

Colour: light-mid-orange brown 

Texture: silty gone out or mieralised wood 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: none 

Post-depositional Features: badly damaged higher up by bioturbation 

Basal Boundary: clear
