Discussion: 21865 refers to a multiple layer composed of one of the oven F579 floors and at least one make-up layer related to its construction. The floor, which is covered by the upper oven's floor 21851, is 1 cm thick and quite friable; its colour is yellow-orangeish (S1, 3 have been taken from here). The make-up layer (2 cm thick; S4-5 taken from here) is firm, brown-greysh and quite rich with charcoal inclusions.
The latter layer covers an underlying floor (21867t) still related to oven F579. 

Consistency: floor is friable; make-up layer is firm 

Colour: floor is yellow-orangeish; make-up layer is mid-brown with dark grey shades 

Texture: floor is sandy-clay; make-up layer is silty-clay 

Bedding: layered: oven floor and make-up layer 

Inclusions: make-up layer has charcoal inclusions (flecks; 10%) 

Post-depositional Features:  

Basal Boundary: constructional, very sharp, prominent, smooth form and surface, flat
