Interpretive Categories: posthole

Data Category Information: Description: posthole

Discussion: The cut is easily interpreted as a hole for a wooden post, realized for a small structure, problably togheter with the other posthole u21962/u21963 (feat. 8151), next to the hearth and used for cooking activities. These two cuts (u21962 f. 8150 and u21963 f. 8151), pertinent to the same phase, are located in a space charcaterized by a particular concentration of postholes (f. 3480, 3485, 3488, 3489) related to later phases: so it is probable that in this area of the building there was a small wooden structure, exposed to several remaking.
