Discussion: Unit 22407 consisted of a compound layer that represents flooring activities from platform F.3437 from SE corner of Space 135. This layer was sealed by another compound make-up layer (U.21746). Both units 21746 as well as 22407 were highly affected by heat. Since this area is heavıiy burnt, the plaster had also been heavily charred, eroded, and was extremely friable. Fire damage is particularly visible in the S part of this layer.
High fire damage was the main reason why few constructional/flooring activities were lumped together under the same unit number. Unit 22407 likely constitutes the earliest phase in erecting this raised area and sits directly on the make-up layer from adjacent platform F.7401 (U.22415). Therefore first flooring activities on the ‘ladder platform’ took place when neighboring raised area (F.7401) was in use. It seems to be possible that these flooring activities have been undertaken to stabilize/settle wooden ladder (see F.7413; U.18963, U.22408, U.22412).
