Discussion: This unit is a very degreaded clay linning to post pit cut U. 22413, below burnt timber post U. 22409. It appears to be a preparation layer for the cut in order to better hold the post in that it extends around the entire perimeter of the cut, and a little bit outside of the edges of the cut.
