Discussion: This unit consisted of clay, a highly burned moulding situated next to wooden ladder post (F.7413) on its W side. Unit 22422 seemed to be a remnant of clayish kind of mould built on the bottom of the ladder platform (F.3437) in order to set up or support ladder base construction (see also U.22407 & 22408). This layer was sealing another make-up layer/clay surface extending from the sunken floor to the SE corner of Sp.135 (U.22421).
