Discussion: This unit consisted of a white plaster layer from the top part of bench construction F.7415. Unit 22431 was a constructional layer in which bucranium has been situated primarily. This plaster layer is distinctly different in terms of consistency and color than previously excavated layers put on the bench. U.22431 is more fragile, grey and less compact than plaster layers. That is why this unit seems to be exclusively prepared as kind of foundation/concrete for bucranium.
This layer was sealing another smooth and flat white plaster layer from the top part of the bench (U.22432).
