Discussion: This is the plaster floor in Sp. 556, plastered separately from the rest of the building, into which burial F. 7962 was cut. It was the plastering event after the last red paint layer was applied to the threshold F. 7967. It was excavated by leaf trowel and contained no artifacts. 

 

Consistency: crumbly, comes off in laminations from plaster floor below 

Colour: white 

Texture: plaster 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: none 

Post-depositional Features: cutting by burial cut [22680] 

Basal Boundary: clear, came down on red plaster threshold paint in S end and subsequent plaster floor elsewhere
