Unit 23155
Category: Layer dug in 2017
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Arbitray layer
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous
Description: Arbitrary layer assigned to excavate the northen part of the room infill for the B-139
Discussion: Arbitrary layer assigned to all the layers placed in the northern part of the B-139, including the remains of the pit U23147. The southern part of the building was dig following all the stratigraphic sequence, so all the information about how the building was filled was completely recorded in the section exposed.
Because the rush in the last month of excavation and the necessity of exposing the entire B-139 we decided to remove the section as one arbitrary layer. We only respect all the midden deposits placed in the eastern part of the building, which had been excavated separately but also with only one unit U23143.
We also respect the infill in the side room (23146), which had been not excavated.
Within this arbitrary number we removed the remains of the units listed below.
U23131 remains of the packing layer for the construction of B-131. The U23144 (Room infill) and the U23153 (Primary room infill, only the upper part). We also remove the remains of the pit U23147 and their fills U23139, U23142 and U23145.
We stooped the excavation of this arbitrary layer just about 0.10-0.15 cm above the latest floors of the building, more or less the same level that we stopped in the southern part of the building. At that point the last remains of the primary room infill where exposed in the western part of the building and also the very bottom of the cut was defined in the east. So the U23153 (room infill) had been remove properly, and also the last fill for the pit U23159 had been all excavated properly and in all it extension.
No samples were been taken.

Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.
