Discussion: This unit belongs to a new sequence of layers exposed directly below the 2rt midden sequence deposits U23245. As the two units above, correspond to a layered deposit composed by different episodes of activity with ashes, other organic material (charcoal, bones…) and also “garbage” through in that area before the B-162 and B-17 were built, in what seems to be an open area. All this deposits have more or less the same morphological characteristics and coloration than above, but are a bit more compact, probably because there are more close to the phreatic layer and original soil.
We remove with the same unit number around 0.50 cm of this midden, mostly in a small trench in the deep sounding that extends 3 x 1 m parallel to the western wall of B-162. As the unit above, the excavation of this trench confirmed that the midden extends also below the extension of B-162.
We stop the excavation arbitrary at that point, being set of layers were the last ones excavated in that part of the site.
