Discussion: large unit extended, continually to follow layer, midden on slope, sloping SW wards considerable amount of charcoal and animal bone, all fragmented/ broken. NE part of unit covered with charcoal and contains no bone. Soil more solid in S part of unit.

Condition: dry, sunny 

Consistency: moderately weak to firm 

Colour: 5/2 greyish black to 6/ gray charcoal area 2.5/ black 

Texture: loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: charcoal >20-30%, bone >2-5%
