Discussion: a pise-like superstructure of oven F.8504. It surrounded both the oven and a hearth (U.23422) that was recorded with the same feature number. The superstructure was preserved only a few centimetres above oven's base (U.23418). The western and southern elements of this structure were situated within a cut in western F.2140 and southern F.2012 walls of building B.52. 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: yellowish brown 

Texture: silt 

Bedding: massive, however, backed on internal face.
