Discussion: This unit bounded by the east mudbrick wall F8517and the west wall F2010. This layer contains a lot of charcoal and ashes in particularly in the S/W part of the space due the presence of the maiden, the surface was slopping to the south. The eastern part in the space adjacent of the wall is more compact and contains a cluster of clay stones and Somme bones and reused mudbricks and mortar. This part might be represent occupation surface. However, it is important to note the relationship of the space 290 with the building 80, the new wall F8517 is contemporary with the walls of building F2013, F2012, 2010, and F1486.
Consistency: soft/friable in the west, compact in the east
Colour: darck grey/black/ mid white/light orange
Texture: silty clay and sand
Bedding: coumpond layered
Inclusions: charcoal, bricks, plaster and clay aggregates
