Dimensions: 0.3 x 0.15 m 

 

Discussion: Fully articulated body of a child, almost lying on its back, with legs in the air but apart and fully doubled, knees away but feet together; arms along the side but slightly flexed. This is not a typical position and maybe the body was in a shroud / bag rather than laid carefully (gml 15.9)
Placed over head of adult and interred at the same time (2527)
NB Uncertain which set of bird bone is which

Unit description: X1 was thought to be a very thin bone ring but is in fact unworked bird bone. X3 represents human bone phalanges (of a young individual) with what appear to be neck bones of a bird (ossified rings) right up against them in the deposit (all lifted as one clump).
