Discussion: Uppermost surviving course of mortar in wall F 1/5 which goes with bricks 2568. 

 

Consistency: Firm 

Colour: Light greyish brown (10 YR 6/2) 

Texture: Sandy clay 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: 10% flecks of brick, mortar, and charcoal; 2% small stones 

Post-depositional Features: Some animal, insect and root disturbance; top generally eroded. 

Basal Boundary: same sa 2568

Not very weathered or rolled. Some burning and digestion. One used-up bone point. Could come from midden, with larger pieces tolerated than in 2568. Last number = 11
