Discussion: A thin and intermittent dark layer of material between infilling (2336)-(2339) ad earlier floors. Presumably a thin spread of occupational trample. Impossible to excavate separately or to sample. Not planned but rough sketch of extent on this sheet 

Condition: warm and bright 

Consistency: unknown 

Colour: 10YR 4/2 dark greyish brown 

Texture: silty clay loam 

Bedding: ?Layered 

Inclusions: none apparent 

Post-depositional Features: none apparent 

Basal Boundary: very sharp, prominent, smooth, inclined slightly downwards from west to east
