Discussion: Fill of small ? fire-pit on NE side of FI 96 - similar to larger 'flue' to W, with traces of scrappy plaster lining but also some charcoal and obsidian flakes around edge of fill - not seen in (2705).

Virtually all obsidian from FI 96 was in or beneath (2714) - i.e. includes some in (2715).

Colour: 10 YR 4/2 dark greyish brown 

Texture: sandy clay loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: c. 2 % plaster aggregate, c. 2 % charcoal, < 2 % obsidian, 10 % fired clay/daub
