Discussion: Scorched fill in shallow scoop (2764)
Similar event as (2762) to South. Appears to be one of fire and of temporary nature - however don't know whether these cut Mellaart's later floors or not. The gradual sides which almost lip up to the floor horizon suggests that they are associated with this horizon.

Consistency: variable, moderately firm to strong 

Colour: top 10YR 5/4 yellowish brown, mid 10YR 5/3 brown, basal ashy lense 10YR 5/1-4/1 grey to dark grey 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: 1% < 2 mm charcoal 

Post-depositional Features: 2% rootlets 

Basal Boundary: clear, anthroopgenic
