Discussion: Mortar in wall F266 between bricks (2806). In most places it was impossible to distinguish from the bricks so no samples were taken and all finds were numbered (2806). Where visible mortar was 23mm thick 

Execution: trowel and mattock 

Condition: muggy - looks like rain 

Consistency: very firm 

Colour: 10YR 7/2 light grey 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: charcoal - 2% 

Post-depositional Features: large wasps nest, some mole rat holes 

Basal Boundary: clear, prominent, irregular, flattish but very irregular
