Unit 2834

Area: South
Interpretive Categories: plaster
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: plaster; Deposition: layered (wall plaster)
Dimensions: 2.82x0.62 m (approx)
Discussion: Plaster on face of wall F267 between spaces 109 and 112. Very bright white and well preserved on southern extent of wall, orange to mid-brown in middle and northern part. Brown plaster could be due to different preservations, could be a preparatory layer, or simply a different phase of plastering on the western face of this wall. White plaster to S. really adhered to wall (2835) on E face which was very flaky. *upon excavation this "light brown plaster" is more likely just the interface of face of wall 267 and underside of plaster removed in antiquity (?)
