Discussion: Thin grey plaster floor (finishing coat <0.5 mm thickness) and coarse dark brown levelling unit underneath. The latter increases in depth progressively towards the E (4cm depth), from its 0.5 thickness in its W end.
This levelling unit, used to stabilise the slight E slope in this part of the building, was made of coarse sandy clay loam rich in inclusions, mostly clay aggregates and microcharcoal. This unit is also considerably thicker under the burial platform F.638, which has an even steeper E slope. U.30026 extends towards the W side and SW+NW corners of the burial platform, representing its later construction stage. It appears absent from the E side and SE+NW corners of the platform, which appear to have followed a different (later) construction pattern.
After removing this unit, a cut (U.30028) by the burial pit but apparently in no association with it, became visible. Also, after removing this unit from the S wall, a geometric painting, in bright orange colours, was uncovered. This lies under several layers of white and red-painted plaster, and most likely precedes the construction of the platform.
