Discussion: There were 9 layers of mortar in the wall F.3681. The first layer was strongly eroded.
In some cases verticaly mortar between bricks was not visible in the section, but there were no problem to distinguish them during exploration.
The mortar layers (and brick also) were laying on this same level as mortar layers in the wall of building next to this wall. 

Consistency: first layer friable, rest of them compact 

Colour: dark grey 

Texture: clay loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: charcoals in few parts 

Post-depositional Features: bioturbation at base of wall (animal burrowing) 

Basal Boundary: visible by layer of brick below different in colour
