Description: Light brown to grey coloured this deposition could be interpreted as rubbish deposit between two houses. However consists of animal bones (2-5cm >10%), charcoal (>3cm >5%) mudbrick lumps (2-5cm >10%) ash (>0.01mm >5%) besides fine roots (1mm-2cm >5%) slight disturbance by animal holes visible.

Texture of the soil silty clay but heavily mixed with ash which causing to loose its plasticity and stickiness. Ash depositional feature we can identify or interpret clay and brick lumps. Basal boundary is not clear. Mixed with dark, burn ash layer. 

 

Discussion: uppermost layer in space 153 to south of building 1 at western end. Heavily disturbed topsoil. 

 

Consistency:  

Colour: Light brown to grey coloured

Bedding:
