Discussion: This is a compound layer that consisted of thin layer of grey make up and orange floor located above it. The layer has been easily distinguishable because of its colour, consistency and location on the eastern platform F.1851.
It was the first layer of make up and floor which created the eastern platform.
Basal boundary of the unit is clear, distinct and smooth. Underneath layer is a grey make up which covered almost whole area within space 236. 

Consistency: friable to firm 

Colour: mid orange, mid grey 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: charcoals (3%) 

Post-depositional Features: none 

Basal Boundary: clear, distinct, smoth
