Discussion: This is a fragment of compound layer of floor and plaster located in NE part of space 236 just next to the eastern wall F.1855 of the space.
Most probably this is a part of a floor which had been excavated during Mellaarts' excavation in 1965. This fragment had been omitted by Mellaarts workmen and left until today. It seems that it was the first layer of floor within this space, because of layers of wall plaster which all were later than the floor. 

Consistency: soft to firm 

Colour: white, light grey, mid grey 

Texture: silty 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: none 

Post-depositional Features: truncations 

Basal Boundary: clear, distinct, smooth
