Discussion: A fully extended supine inhumation in an open space (permitting movement of acetabula – femoral joint (not viewed as labile elements). Left hand disturbed by rodent burrowing. The lower limbs are disturbed at the knee such that the tibiae and fibulae are displaced. Some ribs are displaced and sternum verticalized to expose right side superiorly. Mandible is no longer in occlusion and the mouth is open (mandible protracted). Pubic symphysis is open, ossified xiphoid process and vertebral degeneration (osteophytes and syndesmophytes). The left femur presents its posterior aspect uppermost. The feet may be in an actual burrow. The hands are hidden beneath mass of hip. Left hand is disarticulated and partially visible, right hand fully hidden by right hip mass (due to the movement of acetabula-femoral joint-rolling.) Left hand elements present and visible but disturbed. Healed fracture of frontal bone. See sketch for location of patella.
