Discussion: Subadult burial in the south edge of the cut. The encephalic estremity was first thought to be isolated because of the body is very disturbed. It could be because of rodent activity, or because of a very advance state of decomposition when the body was buried, or both of these reasons.
The body is lying on right side, facing east, above the body of the adult u.30514.
Some brain tissue was found within the cranium.
One bandage of textile runs around the skull, from the top of the forehead to the bottom of jaw (cf. sketch). Is it holding the mandible ? This could fit with the idea of an advanced state of decomposition of the buried body.
